I first met Mindy & Jay during my time living in Nashville, and they are also besties with our friends Brittany & Josh, whose wedding I shot last summer! See their wedding here > Josh & Brittany Wedding . From that wedding on Mindy was hooked on my work, which is a HUGE compliment! Her and Jay were not even engaged yet, and she knew that when the time came I was the one for her!

You might remember these two from when I flew down to Tennessee to capture Jay popping the question to Mindy! Check out that part of their love story here > MIndy & Jay Proposal . When it came to planning their engagement session, I knew that they would be up for anything we thought up. These two are such an adventurous couple, they really enjoy exploring the mountains and sleeping under the stars. So when the idea of Max Patch was brought up, I hopped in the car and drove over to the NC border to make it happen!

We arrived at the mountain and it was packed! Being such a beautiful day in November we expected this, but not to this extent. But the fall colors were perfect and we took many breaks to cuddle up and get warm, before hiking back down and getting outfits switched. We literally ran up the mountain to catch that most brilliant golden hour I have EVER seen. We wrapped up the session with a stunning sunset, and a blue hour that was almost pink…just perfect.

To say I am excited for this wedding this coming October is an understatement..I am PUMPED for this wedding!! Make sure to check back in October for more goodness of this amazing couple!
