Zugibe Vineyard Wedding | Finger Lakes Wedding | Dani T Photography
Have you ever visited Seneca Lake, and really taken it all in? I’m talking the willows along the lake shores, walking the pier, finding the hand painted murals, all the small town feels of Linden Street. When Kaitlyn, Mike & I sat down together to go over their timeline of their wedding day and find the perfect location for their fist look..I KNEW I wanted to make their images really feel a part of Seneca Lake, an area that they visit frequently when they come to New York.
I started my day at an air b&b right on the water, photographing all the girls details, epic dress shots and Kaitlyn getting dressed. From there we headed over to the walkway to meet Mike, and have one of the best first looks I have had in a long time! It was so sweet, genuine, and totally them. After exploring downtown Geneva for some portraits off to the Vineyard we went! Kaitlyn & Mike’s bridal party was exactly what I was expecting ; fun, open to do anything I asked and totally down for a good time! These guys partied harder than any other bridal party I had all season! Dang!
We feared rain all day…and during the ceremony a small sprinkle came through just as it ended, which I think only added to the fun! Farm House Table did a delicious job as always catering a family style dinner with some Mexican flare ( seriously some of the best beans and rice I have EVER had).
When it was time to party..it was TIME TO PARTY!! Elvis even came out for a few songs! Ending our evening with some epic night shots in the vineyard with the rain was probably one of my favorite shots all day.
Kaitlyn & Mike, thank you both so much for bringing us along on your special day. It was fun, emotional, and everything we had talked about while planning. I cannot wait to see where your relationship will go in the future. And anytime you are in NY lets grab some wine!

WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE PART OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Mike : “When Kaitlyn said I DO! After all the planing and being engaged and then finally be able to call her my wife!”
Kaitlyn : “Besides the heat and feeling like I was sweating to death! The most memorable moment was the feeling I had walking towards Mike, not when I was walking down the aisle, but when it was him and I on the pier and his back was to me. I was so nervous for him to see me I felt like I wanted to vomit, but I also couldn’t stop smiling. I know a lot of people like to see the groom’s face when the bride walks down, but I was so happy that I got to have that moment with him by ourselves.”
ANY ADVICE FOR FUTURE COUPLES WHEN PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
Mike: “Enjoy the moment. All the planning that goes into it and then its over in a few hours. Make sure you eat and enjoy the day with your best friend and your family and friends.”
Kaitlyn: “Definitely do a first look! My family was completely against it, but it’s my wedding day and I wanted to spend a majority of the day with the man I was going to marry. Also, bring doggy bags, it’s true you don’t eat your food but once the adrenaline dies down you will be starving!”
IF YOU HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN, WOULD YOU CHANGE ANYTHING?
Mike : “Control the weather and make it less humid that day. The day before was beautiful lots of sunshine and no humidity. Our wedding day was sunny and humid and it rained at the end of our ceremony.”
WHERE DID YOU HAVE THAT FABULOUS HONEYMOON?
”We haven’t gone yet, but we are planning a cross country road trip for the end of June 2020”
WHAT SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY?
Mike: “Once the ceremony started how everything ran so smooth. You stress out wondering if everything is going to work and it did. Credit to our bridal party, our photographers and the staff at our venue. Everything went off without a hitch!”
Kaitlyn : “That I didn’t bawl my eyes out when I was reading my vows. I’m such an emotional person I was sure I wasn’t going to be able to get through it, but then Mike went and his was so similar to mine that I couldn’t help but giggle instead of cry.”
