Many many moons ago, I first photographed Dani, dressed up as Mummy in a pile of rocks in an abandoned lot…aka…how I spent most of my college art days! I have known her after all of these years, connecting here and there. She is also the other half of an awesome podcast, The V Spot, a vegan podcast, and Andy is the silent producer. After Andy popped the question to her, I was one of her first phone calls, what an honor! I knew after our first meeting, how much I really wanted to photograph these two in an element which was completely them.
Which brings us to the incredible Farm Sanctuary, located just on the outskirts of Watkins Glenn, New York. If you have never visited a Farm Sanctuary, I would high encourage you to do so. The staff and animals are so full of love, and welcoming to anyone who wants to visit and learn more about the animals who have been rescued.
We spent our afternoon exploring the grounds, with a private tour with Jane, who gave us extra snuggling time with the animals, and told us stories of each animal individually. We beat the rain, and even got in some quick shots with Dani and Andy’s new addition to their family, a rescue greyhound, named Fiyero.
I cannot wait to photograph this wedding next fall, we are going to have blast! Enjoy a look at this awesome couple together, as well as few personal shots from our visit!
